Let's not pretend I got everything right last time. A massive chunk of the narrative is just too complex to nail down perfectly, and that’s a testament to Oda-sensei’s brilliance! I have to take the 'L' on a few things, but I'm proud of the hits. Specifically, my prediction about Emu entering 'standby mode' was spot-on. It's those major narrative mechanics that are sometimes easier to track than the minute-by-minute action.
This honesty is crucial, though. It reminds us that One Piece is an unpredictable beast, and that's why we love theorizing so much. This week, however, I’m feeling particularly good about the God Valley developments.
📜 The Main Event: Theorycrafting Chapter 1165
The stage is set. We're in the thick of the God Valley Incident, with Rocks D. Xebec, Roger, and Garp taking center stage. My biggest theories for 1165 all hinge on this pivotal moment:
1. The Secrets of Davy Jones (The Big Lore Drop)
My boldest prediction is that Rocks is about to deliver a major lore dump before he goes down. Specifically, I think he will reveal crucial information about the Davy Clan and the ancestral figure, Davy Jones, likely to Roger and Garp. This isn’t just exposition; this could be the historical context that links the Poneglyphs, the Void Century, and Rocks' own motivations. This revelation has the potential to shift the entire focus of the story from just action to the deep mysteries of the world.
2. Rocks' Final Words: The Emotional Stakes
It's an epic fight, but it's also a deeply personal story. I speculate that Rocks will leave a poignant final message for his family, specifically for his wife Aerys and possibly a word of warning or direction for Teach (Blackbeard). Passing these messages on, perhaps through one of his crew or even Garp/Roger, would humanize the legend and give incredible emotional weight to the future arcs of Aerys and Teach. It gives meaning to the end of a villain.
3. Dragon: The Eavesdropper
This is a subtle, but powerful theory. I believe Dragon is secretly present and listening in on the monumental events, possibly utilizing the "Voice of All Things" or another form of clandestine information gathering. Dragon is a revolutionary strategist, and information is his greatest weapon. If he gains significant intelligence from this encounter linking Rocks' goals to the World Government's it becomes the catalyst for his entire revolutionary movement. He's not here to fight; he's here to learn.
💥 The Clash of Titans: Action and Pacing Predictions
While the lore is important, we can’t forget the action!
The Rocks Fight Will Be Quick: While it’s the most legendary clash, I predict the actual final confrontation with Rocks will be swiftly concluded, possibly within this single chapter. Given the current trend in One Piece, major flashback battles that don't star Luffy are often impactful but brief, allowing the manga to maintain narrative momentum. The anime can always expand it later, but the manga needs to move the story forward.
Roger and Garp’s Rivalry: To break the tension, I'm hoping for a bit of classic shonen banter! It would be perfectly in character for Roger and Garp to bicker over who gets to face Rocks first, adding some much-needed comic relief and showing the human side of these legends amidst the world-shaking chaos.
The Supporting Cast Intrigue
I'm also hoping for a little glimpse into the larger world:
The Bevette Family Reveal: We might get a hint about the mysterious Bevette family, potentially a Celestial Dragon clan, which could tie into Mihawk’s surprisingly aristocratic background.
God Knights and Side Battles: While the main trio clashes, I’d love to see brief, powerful snapshots of the God Knights or other secondary characters engaging in intense side battles.
🤔 Final Thoughts on the One Piece Machine
Honestly, the pace of the God Valley arc is phenomenal. Oda is using storytelling economy perfectly, balancing massive lore drops with emotional beats. The way the manga handles the rapid, impactful nature of these flashback fights, knowing the anime will amplify the visual spectacle, is a masterclass in adaptation synergy.
Now, it's time for you to weigh in! What's your biggest prediction for Chapter 1165? Do you think Rocks will talk, or will it be all action? Let me know in the comments below!
ReplyDeleteAmid battle against Rocks, Roger will awaken a joy boy tier haki to drive imu away, and scare kaido into thinking haki conquers all. Once imu is driven away, Garp and Roger will finish demon Rocks. Imu will activate the death star to wipe the slate clean. Most marines and slaves will be able to escape but the lowtiers near the center will die, taking out witnesses of saturn-imu.
