Perhaps the most surprising revelation concerns the enigmatic Holy Knights. Despite their fearsome reputation, these warriors harbor a critical limitation: none of them possess Conqueror's Haki. This rare ability, wielded only by the strongest individuals with the qualities of a king, has been notably absent from their arsenal. The spoilers suggest that the Holy Knights' strength doesn't come from innate power, but rather from a contract with Imusama that grants them immortality and regeneration. They're essentially enhanced fighters rather than naturally elite warriors, relying on external powers rather than their own indomitable will.
This connection to Shanks' backstory runs deep. The Holy Knights repeatedly attempted to capture or rescue Shanks, knowing he was the son of their leader, Figarland Garling. However, the Roger Pirates consistently defeated them, demonstrating just how vast the gap was between the Pirate King's crew and these supposedly elite fighters.
Defeating the Immortal
Scoper Gabon provides crucial information about combating regenerative opponents. The key lies in using Conqueror's Haki to slow down their healing factor significantly. With repeated attacks infused with this supreme Haki, even seemingly immortal beings can be killed. This revelation explains why rapid-fire techniques like Luffy's Gatling Gun, combined with Conqueror's Haki, would prove devastatingly effective.

This also clarifies why Summers showed such visible terror upon encountering Scoper Gabon—he'd been defeated by him multiple times before and understood exactly what that power could do.
Loki: The Strongest Giant
The chapter's most dramatic moments center on Loki, whose power level exceeds all expectations. When Harold—a warrior so formidable that even Shanks and Scoper Gabon couldn't stop him—massacred giants at Forest Castle, it was Loki who stepped forward to face him alone.
Fighting in his "zone form" (shown only in shadow for now), Loki delivered devastating damage before accomplishing what seemed impossible: he broke Harold's Conqueror's Haki and killed him. The fact that Harold was Loki's own father adds tragic weight to this victory.
This feat establishes Loki as the most powerful giant in One Piece history, surpassing even the strength of emperors like Shanks. The ability to shatter another warrior's Conqueror's Haki represents a level of dominance rarely seen in the series.
Questions About Power and Lineage
The spoilers raise intriguing questions about the source of true strength in the One Piece world. If Garling himself doesn't possess exceptional combat ability possibly delegating such matters to his subordinates then where do Shamrock's and Shanks' formidable powers originate? Could their mother be the source?
Some analysts theorize a three-tier system of contracts with Imusama: basic contracts for Holy Knights granting regeneration, and higher-level agreements for the Gorosei providing both regeneration and access to Imusama's own Conqueror's Haki. The fact that the Gorosei don't age and demonstrate Conqueror's Haki supports this theory, though it remains speculative.
What's Next
One Piece Chapter 1,170 releases January 4th, with chapter 1,171 following on January 11th. Editor comments suggest that 1,171 will conclude the flashback of Loki and Elbaf's tragic past, returning us to the present-day Straw Hat storyline. The pirates will emerge from this flashback with crucial knowledge about power structures and the true nature of the world's elite forces.
These revelations fundamentally alter our understanding of strength in One Piece. Natural talent and indomitable will represented by Conqueror's Haki trump borrowed power. The Holy Knights, for all their regeneration and immortality, lack the one thing that defines true kings: the strength of their own spirit.
As we head into the new year, One Piece continues to deliver the world-building and power-scaling revelations that have made it a legendary series. The stage is set for conflicts where the source of one's power matters as much as the power itself.

Okay so basically, Ragnir is a mix of Ratatosk and Mjolnir. It wouldn't make sense if a random squirell hate the mythical Mjolnir Hammer Fruit, so I guess it's a Hammer made of an ancient giant alloy or poneglyph stone that ate the legendary zoan Ratatosk. As for Loki, it can't be Jormangandr's fruit since it doesn't have claws, the world serpent is just a huge serpent. It's probably Nidhogg the legendary Dragon. If it is, then it's a Kaido level devil fruit but on a giant's scale and more European looking.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Loki was the base for Vegapunk's dragon experiment, but maybe not since he studied Kaido and successfully recreated hus mythical zoan.
Finally, the collective delusion that the legendary fruit of Elbaf was Nika's fruit will stop! And this explains a lot.
ReplyDelete- The legendary fruit is passed down from generation to generation because NO ONE has ever managed to eat it!
There is a high chance that the figure at the top of the tree in the Harley mural is exactly Nidhögg and that, due to people's yearning (or fear), it became a Devil Fruit, or was imprisoned/placed there.
- Loki being the 'world destroyer' makes a lot of sense if this really is his Devil Fruit, as it fits well with Norse mythology.
- Hurting the Holy Knights with Conqueror's Haki doesn't even seem like a revelation, but it is a problem for the crew. We only have 2 confirmed Conqueror's Haki users (Luffy and Zoro), with potential for Sanji and Jinbe to develop it too. If we count Yamato, who IS ALREADY a crew member (just not with them right now), and add Loki, who will DEFINITELY join the crew once he learns Luffy is Nika—we would have only 6 Straw Hats capable of facing God's Knights. And from what it seems, we have:
- At least 2 (+ Gunko) knights with the level 2 (Sommers and Killingham) pact, and 13 with the abyssal pact—including the 5 Gorosei + the Captain of the Holy Knights + 7 unknown individuals. That means we have between 13 to 20 enemies that the Straw Hat crew is currently in no condition to face!
This might indicate that we will still have additions to the crew, even if only temporarily, for the final war to fight against them!"
ReplyDeleteSo Loki not just the strongest creature from ancient giants tribe, he also have 2 DF, 1 df Rocks really want, n the other DF who guard that DF, n no can eat it because thats squirell guardian, n this guy defeat His father who recognize by Rocks himself n got buff by Imu,,
N some how 6 years ago 1 hand Shanks defeat him.
Loki not going the crew bro. Oda will not upset the balance of the big 3. Loki might be stronger than luffy after the arc and that is not happening. Anyway, maybe we get another chapter with Loki and shanks on what really happened, but thats it. Best flashback so far, slightly over the Samuari God Oden.
ReplyDeleteGod’s Knights downscale continues. Who can even take these clowns seriously. Also bad writing from Oda because this makes the World government looks even more incompetent than ever before… if these clowns had the time to go and try kidnap Shanks, why haven’t they tried to kill Luffy before he became Nika?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really want to see Loki join the crew considering the lack of powerups the other have outside of Zoro/Sanji/Jinbe.
Oh god, we're at that phase again where people is flooded to think a new character from a new arc will join the crew again. I can tell you who will join the crew though, the name is Yamato. Roger had Oden, Luffy will have Yamato as Oden's equivalent. Basically confirmed Loki wont be joining the crew. Hes the next king of Elbaph who needs to lead the country, which is super important as proven by Harold's dedication to leading the country. Hajrudin is a pirate whos already under the grand fleet and he has to travel the world to unite the giants.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm slightly confused. What exactly is Ragnir? Is it human/giant who ate some shape shifting fruit or sentient shape shifting weapon? Anyway, so Loki did ate that legendary fruit and it deffinetly wasn't Nika fruit if it ended up in Luffys hands and Loki isn't dead. It's said Lokis hands turned into claws so it was probably some legendary/mythical beast type zoan. Also yeah, that had to be really powerful fruit if Loki was able to finish this thing with Harald soo fast even though he was already quite exhausted from fighting Ragnir.
