Revolutionary Army On The Moves

The concept of the Void Century possesses immense potential to ignite revolutionary movements aimed at challenging the existing order and establishing a world that is fair and just. Leading this charge are formidable characters like Monkey D. Dragon and the Revolutionary Army, who stand at the forefront of a potential uprising. Their mission involves unraveling the truth, destabilizing oppressive regimes, and ushering in a new era defined by freedom and equality. Within this context, the significance of figures like Joy Boy, whose pivotal roles during the Void Century remain shrouded in mystery, could hold the power to reshape the power dynamics within the world of One Piece.

Revolutionary Army On The Moves

The revelation of the truth surrounding the Void Century possesses the potential to become a potent weapon that instills hope, fuels righteous anger, and compels individuals to join the revolutionary cause. Nico Robin, a member of the Straw Hat pirates, bears the weight of the Void Century's secrets upon her shoulders. This burden stems from her tragic past and the devastation inflicted upon her homeland of Ohara. As she gradually uncovers fragments of the truth, Robin emerges as a symbol of resilience and defiance, inspiring others to join the revolution and embark on a quest for liberation from the clutches of the oppressive World Government. Sabo, a close friend of Monkey D. Luffy, becomes an integral part of the Revolutionary Army not only due to their intervention in saving his life but also because he has personally witnessed the oppression and atrocities committed by the ruling elite and the World Government itself.

Sabo

Sabo, known as the "Flame Emperor," holds the esteemed position of chief of staff within the Revolutionary Army, ranking as the organization's second in command and outranked solely by its supreme leader, Monkey D. Dragon. He shares a sworn brotherhood with the infamous pirates Monkey D. Luffy and the late Portgas D. Ace. Born into a noble family, Outlook III and Didit raised Sabo in the Goa Kingdom. However, at the young age of 10, Sabo fled his privileged life and embarked on a journey to become a pirate, hoping to chronicle his travels in a book. While living as a vagabond in Gray Terminal, he met Ace and Luffy. Shortly after, Sabo attempted to set sail on his own, but his ship was destroyed by the World Noble Saint Jalmack. Luckily, Dragon rescued him, but the ordeal resulted in Sabo losing his memory. As a result, he dedicated himself to the Revolutionary Army's cause. A decade later, Sabo regained his memories after learning of Ace's death. Two years following his recovery, Sabo reunited with Luffy and consumed Ace's Devil Fruit, the Mera Mera no Mi, continuing his late brother's legacy. Sabo's current bounty is 602,000,000.

As an adult, Sabo has honed his skills in the Ryusoken fighting style, centered around using "claws," which he refers to as grips. With them, he can easily break through armor, great swords, artillery, and even skulls, while remaining unscathed. He describes his fingers as being as sharp as dragon claws and uses Haki to further enhance their strength. Unlike Luffy, who typically goes for his opponent's body, Sabo often prioritizes destroying their weapon before engaging in direct combat. This difference in approach became apparent when he fought in Luffy's place in the coliseum and allowed Diamante to realize that "Lucy" was not actually Luffy. Sabo also consumed the Mera Mera no Mi, a powerful Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to create, manipulate, and transform into fire at will. Initially struggling to control his newfound powers, he displayed the typical difficulties of a new Devil Fruit user. Even now, he admits that he has yet to fully adapt to his abilities, occasionally resorting to dodging attacks despite his Logia nature. Nevertheless, Sabo has swiftly developed his powers and undergone extensive training to master them. Sabo is able to to utilize signature technique of his late sworn brother, Ace, the "Hiken", allowing him to transform his arm into a large, powerful fire blast. It is strong enough to shatter the bottom floor of the Corrida Colosseum, which was strong enough to support the weight of a giant, exposing the underground facilities. Sabo can also use his flames to augment his Ryusoken style, as well as imbue flames into his weapons. Sabo has shown great mastery in the usage of Busoshoku Haki, which he can imbue into his arm or his pipe. His mastery of this type of Haki is superior to that of Burgess, the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates' first ship, as he broke Burgess's Haki-infused right arm armor. Sabo also destroyed the Corrida Colosseum's fighting ring with his Haki-infused fists. Sabo possesses the ability to use Kenbunshoku Haki. In the anime, he is highly skilled in the use of Kenbunshoku Haki, as he sensed that Luffy's Haki had become weak during the battle with Doflamingo, and he dodged multiple bullets that were fired at him. During the Levely's fourth day, Sabo and his group engaged in a fight against Fujitora and Ryokugyu with the goal of saving Kuma. They were able to complete their mission and escape Mary Geoise, but there were allegations that Sabo had assassinated Nefertari Cobra, the Arabasta Kingdom's king, in the process. While at Mary Geoise, Sabo entered the throne room of Pangaea Castle and discovered that the Empty Throne was occupied by Im. He also briefly encountered Jewelry Bonney while infiltrating the castle. Sabo became separated from the other commanders during the mission and sought refuge in the Lulusia Kingdom, which was one of the eight kingdoms that had been overthrown as a result of the Revolutionary Army's influence. Sabo managed to contact the Revolutionary Army, but the Marines were able to eavesdrop on his call because he did not use a White Den Den Mushi to jam the signal. Sabo assured his fellow Revolutionaries that he did not kill Cobra, but before he could report his findings on the Empty Throne, Im destroyed Lulusia. The Five Elders then ordered the Marines to forget about the interception and claimed that Lulusia never existed.

Monkey D. Dragon

As the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon is dedicated to dismantling the World Government and its corrupt nobility system that allows its World Nobles to oppress lower-class citizens as they please. He considers the corrupt nobility in his homeland of the Goa Kingdom to be the same problem on a smaller scale and was enraged when their self-serving actions caused an innocent noble boy like Sabo to denounce them. When he rescued Sabo the next day from being attacked by a World Noble's ship, Dragon was shown with a powerful glare of anger on his face. Dragon is typically seen with a serious and business-minded disposition and takes care to stay highly informed about the happenings of the world and educate his subordinates about relevant objects and events in current affairs. Dragon is quick to caution his subordinates against celebrating small victories, reminding them of the war they are in and of the World Government's great power. However, he has been shown smiling when reflecting on the changing course of the world, particularly his son Luffy's role in it as a pirate. Dragon is extremely secretive about his personal life and history, as he did not tell anyone in the Revolutionary Army that he was Garp's son or Luffy's father, and once shut down an attempt by Ivankov to ask if he had family out in the world. When the news of his family ties came out following the Summit War of Marineford, Dragon noted that it would help his subordinates to see him as a human for once. Dragon has shown himself to be an empathetic person, particularly to those who are oppressed by the World Government's system. He checked to see if a young Sabo was all right after seeing him be thrown to the ground, and did not hesitate to take his denouncement of the Goa Kingdom's nobles extremely seriously. He cares greatly for the plights of people who are oppressed by the World Government and their member islands, and seeks them out to invite them to join his fight for freedom. He also cares about the members and associates of his army, as shown when he asked Koala if Nico Robin was doing well. When he was under the impression that Portgas D. Ace was Dragon's son, Emporio Ivankov expected that Dragon would go to Marineford to save Ace, showing that Dragon holds love and care towards his family and possibly his son, Luffy, despite not being involved in his childhood.

Revolutionary Army Leader

Abilities and Powers

As Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon has the greatest authority over a powerful, globally active paramilitary that has risen to become a prominent threat to the expansive, centuries-old World Government in only a few years. Dragon's actions have given him the distinction of being the "World's Worst Criminal," yet he has managed to lead a largely secure existence despite the world's greatest powers being after him. After Luffy tells Emporio Ivankov that Ace is his brother, the okama queen greatly fears the possibility of the World Government warring against Dragon along with Whitebeard. While his individual combat abilities are mostly unknown, he is able to command extremely powerful army officials like his chief-of-staff Sabo and the five commanders, who have all been shown battling and defeating notable pirates and Marines in the Grand Line.

When Sengoku told everyone of his relationship with Luffy, most people were stunned, including Gecko Moria of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and members of the Whitebeard Pirates. This reputation alone was enough for Luffy to be marked as a dangerous potential to the future, and for Demaro Black to take advantage of via impersonation. Dragon himself was able to grab Smoker's jitte when the Marine captain was preparing to use it on Luffy, quickly stopping him in his tracks, and despite Dragon's great criminal status, Smoker was not seen making the effort to try and apprehend him. Additionally, Ivankov noted that Luffy's inhuman will to live in Impel Down made sense for a son of Dragon, indicating that Dragon has a similar level of tenacity.

While at the Goa Kingdom and Loguetown, strong blasts of wind have occurred in close proximity to Dragon, which have helped him accomplish his objectives in both places. It remains unconfirmed if Dragon was directly responsible for these wind blasts or if he has a power enabling him to create them. Additionally, Dragon was somehow able to reach Sabo's ship as it was sinking far off the coast of Dawn Island and grab him right before he sank without drawing attention from any onlookers.
