🔥 One Piece Chapter 1162 is almost here! The God Valley flashback has quickly become one of the most pivotal storylines in One Piece, offering long-awaited answers about the past while setting up emotional and action-packed moments that could reshape the series’ future. With Chapter 1162 on the horizon, fan speculation is at an all-time high. From tragic character fates to high-stakes confrontations and game-changing lore reveals, the next installment promises to be a major turning point in Eiichiro Oda’s epic saga. A major focus of upcoming events is expected to center on Saint Garling Figarland, the enigmatic leader of the God Knights. Since last appearing to rally his forces, Garling has been notably absent amid the ongoing chaos. Fans believe Chapter 1162 will finally reveal his next move possibly continuing his hunt for high-value targets or pursuing a more personal objective that could redefine his character and motives. His actions could also serve as a catalyst for several key plot developments still to come. One of the most anticipated moments involves Rocks D. Xebec and his long-lost wife, Aerys. Given how quickly Ifley was able to locate Shaki, it seems inevitable that Rocks will find Aerys in the heat of battle. However, their reunion may not lead to a happy ending. Many fan theories suggest that Aerys will not survive the God Valley conflict, with her death potentially serving as the emotional spark behind Rocks’ violent rampage. Such a moment could be among the flashback’s most heartbreaking scenes, potentially rivaling some of One Piece’s most memorable tragedies. Another prediction revolves around Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp, two figures whose legendary rivalry has shaped much of the series’ history. While canon confirms Roger’s involvement at God Valley, many theorists believe Garp will actively force Roger to stay and fight rather than leave the battlefield. This confrontation could offer a deeper look into their relationship, showcasing their clashing ideals and mutual respect in a way that enriches their shared legacy. Smer, previously believed to be out of commission due to severe injuries, may also return to the fray. His comeback, even in a weakened state, could shed light on the God Knights’ mysterious regenerative powers and hint that Conqueror’s Haki might be the key to overcoming them. This revelation could significantly influence battle strategies not just in the flashback, but potentially in the present-day storyline as well. Another intriguing theory suggests that more repeated Devil Fruits could emerge as the arc progresses. Following Captain John’s fruit reveal, fans suspect that characters like Barbell or other God Knights might wield familiar abilities, supporting the idea that Devil Fruits reincarnate after their users die. This cyclical nature of powers already exemplified by Ace inheriting the Flame-Flame Fruit adds a compelling layer to the series’ lore and could tie directly into the long-teased treasure chests at God Valley. Many expect those chests to finally be opened in Chapter 1162, possibly granting new powers to unexpected characters. A clash between Garling and Whitebeard is also one of the most highly anticipated possibilities. With Whitebeard no longer engaged in battle against Roger, Garling appears to be the most likely opponent. Such a fight would not only elevate Garling’s status as a major threat but also provide a deeper look into the God Knights’ true strength. Some fans even speculate that Garling’s striking resemblance to Shanks may hint at a deeper connection that could be explored through this confrontation. While the death of a God Knight seems inevitable, many believe it may still be too soon for such a development. Their regenerative powers make them difficult to kill, but the groundwork is being laid for at least one to fall before the arc concludes. This eventual loss could mark a turning point in the balance of power, signaling the decline of the once-unstoppable God Knights. Overall, the predictions for Chapter 1162 suggest a story that blends high-stakes action with emotional weight and deep world-building. Garling’s next move could reshape the conflict, Rocks and Aerys’ storyline may deliver a devastating emotional blow, and the long-awaited reveal of the Devil Fruit treasure chests could redefine the mechanics of power in One Piece. The God Valley flashback continues to answer long-standing mysteries while raising new questions about the series’ history and Chapter 1162 may be the chapter that changes everything.

One Piece 1072: Vice Admiral Garp In Action

One Piece manga chapter 1072 is scheduled to launch for international readers on Friday, January 15, 2026. I loved garp's attitude. Like, he is one of the ideal marines for this exact reason. The vast majority of administrative figures are so stupidly painstakingly slow and take way too long trying to calculate all the potential repercussions, and the attitude ends up putting people like Koby at risk needlessly. Like they would literally just wait there while having all the power to make a rescue attempt waiting for an authorization from top brass that takes months to come, and coby would be dead by the time it arrives, or who knows what else.

Shiryu Vs Bogard

Garp has the right idea. Screw the administration, we don't need authorization for the common sense to arrange a rescue mission for one our valuable comrades, especially not one with such a high potential and value to the organization. Like, I am sure you must all feel the same in some way. By now you've worked in companies, institutions, dealt with governments and authority lorders and seen the problems that come when incompetent and insecure narcissistic types micromanage organizations. Literally nothing of value gets done, at least not with taking an almost equal amount of steps backwards for no reason.

One thing is odd though. With so much force now backing up Vegapunk’s side Straw hat crew, group of persons Vegapunk was asking for help, the remaining Seraphim back in the lab - and if they encounter them, the Stellar and the Satellites could easily take back control over the Seraphim CP0 is currently commanding, we surely have a stark power imbalance in favor of Vegapunk here. Now, if Oda really wants the Straw hats to face equal opponents, like on almost every other island, than those opponents should be able to give them a fair fight at least. I wonder for example if by any means Kizaru will come with one of the gorosei sailing with him to Egghead. Then it could become more equal with all the Seraphim on the world government’s side. Or if another event makes the scales tip.

My second question is, if the world government already knows about the persons that Vegapunk called. If Stussy was on Egghaed before and has gathered intell about him, then she could have come across the men/women/people Vegapunk was asking for help this last chapter. Maybe it could be why Kizaru was sent to Egghead in the first place after CP0. But then, why not sent him with the group of agents? But I am very reluctant to interpret more into it because I don’t know if Stussy knows the tech Vegapunk uses from the void century (meaning she could be old as hell) or from a mission to gather intell about the doctor recently.

Luffy Vs Lucci Continues

Since we're still waiting on the Chapter and we are getting Awakened Lucci and we are seeing Awakened Zoans basically have that cloud flame thing around them (likely hint to Lunarians and the sky), SO FAR, does anyone really believe Kaido to be dead?
Luffy Awakened his Devil Fruit, Lucci Awakened and Yamato Awakened in 20 years. Kaido has had his devil fruit pretty much years longer. I'm pretty sure he's not down. The other thing here, he was introduced as challenging both the Marines and Yonko and defeated 7 times only to survive.
We don't see awakened Kaido but we see awakened Lucci and then they mentioned Lucci being perceptive. And we hear of Lucci not accepting Luffy as a Yonko.

Luffy Vs Lucci

Well technically Luffy defeated Kaido but consider his victory was:
Sulong Inuarashi and Nekomamushi and others. Two people who are considered stronger than 3rd Commander Jack and Perospero. Ashura stronger than Jack. Denjiro as well. Kawamatsu and the rest at probably Oven level maybe. Izou, Whitebeard Commander. 4 Conqueror's Haki users (Kidd, Zoro, Yamato, Luffy) (though only three displayed it), Law and Killer, while also pulling Onigashima with his flame clouds. Though Luffy did a majority of the damage. When you consider it, Oda probably has a stronger Luffy face off against Kaido later on. We didn't even see an Awakened Big Mom. Both their behinds probably reappear in Wano later, along with whatever other threat comes.

Oda is showing a disparity in Luffy vs Kaido here. In that Kaido easily got rid of the CP-0 dude while Lucci is still basically standing (still sucks that he just got used for the plot like that, feels like two potential characters Oda randomly wasted there with CP-0). Also Oda said Nami and the rumble-rumble fruit. I wonder if Vegapunk is able to create a paramecia ability to infuse in Nami that is lightning based off of Zeus. I'm pretty sure Zeus won't be removed but it seems like a route Oda can possibly go.

Elbaf - The Land Of The Giant Reveals

Finally, One Piece Chapter 1072 may show fans the current state of the fabled island of Elbaf for the first time. With Kid’s arrival on the island in Chapter 1071, it marks the first time a character in the series has contemporarily traveled to the island. It’s entirely possible that Oda decides to give fans an early look by focusing on Kid’s current arrival there, rather than Luffy’s later one.

One downside of this, however, could be the disappointment of many fans who wanted to see Elbaf for the first time alongside the Straw Hat Pirates. This is especially true when considering how many different Straw Hats seemingly have storylines set to conclude in or be enhanced by the Elbaf Island arc.
